Responsibilities:
Dealership Accountant position within our Accounting Team who is responsible for timely, accurate and consistent research and recording of dealership accounting transactions on CDK DMS. Opportunities are available for high performers to elevate their skill set and move up the ladder as our team grows. Previous Accounting experience is required- Automotive Accounting experience is preferred.
- Schedules Team Accountant- Review and Research assigned General Ledger Schedules for multiple dealerships for accuracy, appropriate adjustments and identify patterns to assist in improving efficiencies and processes. Communicate with the Regional Accounting Directors and Business Managers to relay pertinent information of repetitive errors on the schedules, share best practices and identify the root cause of any issues found. The right candidate will also be able to train team members at the dealerships to improve their processes and efficiencies.
- Some travel will be required to visit our Tampa Accounting Processing Center and to the various dealerships you work with in the Miami area as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ accounting education or experience is required.
- Automotive Accounting Experience in a Dealership setting is highly preferred
- Experience with CDK, Excel & various Automotive Manufacturer websites is preferred
- Ability to Self-motivate, prioritize given work-load and execute efficiently and in the required time frame is critical.
- Team player with strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency is key.
- Excellent communication skills- both written and oral.
- Critical thinker who will question inconsistencies and offer solutions to the management team.
- Ability to work overtime as required to accomplish our deadlines for our Corporate Office- especially during the first business week of each month.

Lithia Hiring Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 18 years or older
- Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
- A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
