WHAT TO EXPECT

 

As a Commercial Lead associated to Software delivery you'll get to support the delivery of cross carline and cross platform software projects within our Product Engineering Propultion Software, Calibration and Controls function.  

 

You'll get first-hand exposure to powertrain innovations, where you'll engage with engineering teams in securing robust delivery of propulsion software led technologies.  You'll also get to collaborate with internal and external software teams who develop and deploy control software. 

 

This is an opportunity to maximise the benefits of new propulsion technologies through a short time to market approach, ensuring the delivery of unique industry leading features happen within the targets set.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support Programme Teams by estimating future programme costs and resource requirements working together with Group Product Owners, using various tools currently in place and developing new tools and process as and when required

  • Manage request for information and request for quotation process for software development working together with Software Delivery Leads, Group Product Owners and Software Providers

  • Assist with securing programme funding for Software Development Costs working together with Software Delivery Leads, Group Product Owners, Programme Finance Teams and Business Planning Team

  • Make sure programme spend is tracked and managed within budget

  • Lead supplier collaboration meetings, as well as Software change request meetings. Making sure any issues are addressed quickly and effective ways of working together are developed, helping to implement process and technical improvements

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Supplier management, contract management and negotiation skills

  • Confidence in engaging and communicating with others with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners at all levels - internally and external to the organisation

  • System and/or Software product life cycle and design principles experience

  • Attention to details with ability to analyse financial data

  • Experience using Change Management Tools within a project management environment
