Brake Test Engineer (f/m/d)

Tasks

What you will do: 

  • Perform Brake objective test oriented to both Brake Performance characterizations according to the Group specifications and Brake Certification test programs.
  • Support the Instrumentation Team in on-board equipment/designing experiments, preparing the configuration for the test data gathering.
  • Execute subjective evaluation.
  • Collect, process, analyze and present data from objective & subjective test. 

Qualifications

  • You have successfully completed a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a Brake Test Engineer, with deep knowledge of Brake physics/phenomena and general familiarity with chassis dynamics. 
  • Preferred experience Brake Certification test programs and Brake Performance characterizations (AMS, Judder, Fading). 
  • You have familiarity with data analysis and typical equipment (VBOX, ADMA, OXTS and DAQs like Dewesoft, Softing, etc.), being able to set up instrumentation, designing and conducting experiments. 
  • You speak English very well, and German language is strong recommended.
  • You have a strong attitude for team play and international working environments.

Nardò Technical Center's high-speed ring in Salento is unique in the world with a length of 12.6 kilometers, allowing vehicles to be tested under extreme conditions. Throughout its history, Nardò Technical Center has hosted tests of considerable importance, in several cases setting records of international significance.
