General Responsibilities
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for applying accounting principles to the month-end close process, prepare account reconciliations and reports, and address various inventory related activities including special projects. The Cost Accountant will review cost expenditures, record data, and provide internal reporting to support the Operations teams.
The Role
The Staff Accountant prepares monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to facilitate the monthly accounting close; records quarter-end and year-end closing journal entries; research and explain monthly variances of balance sheet and P&L accounts; prepare ad-hoc analysis around account balance differences along with proposed solution to resolve; supports inter-company transactions and reconciliations; and ensures accuracy and compliance of financial statement schedules in accordance with GAAP and internal policies What You Will Do
