Warehouse Management System (WMS) Analyst

Job Description

Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Bowling Green Assembly on a full-time basis.

The Role:

As a Warehouse Management System (WMS) Analyst, you will be responsible to plan, execute, deploy, and maintain WMS processes and configuration. This role requires interfacing with MGO, EPS, and PPS daily. This role will require the ability to rotate between 1st and 2nd shift. Role responsibilities will vary during project execution and post project execution.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Supports the planning process for the implementation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS).

  • Supports plants and suppliers in achieving GM1724 Label Compliance (i.e. 2D Barcode data elements).

  • Significant onsite presence integrating the Central WMS team and the plant planning team.

  • Coordinates the operational planning for Inventory Conversion and Go Live.

  • Train other Plant WMS Control Room Leads and Analysts.

  • Structure the Control Room day-by-day monitoring processes to guarantee no plant disruptions after project hands off.

  • Structure and standardize how to extract data from WMS and transform them into KPIs so that all plants start measuring the same way & same things for future benchmarking.

  • Extended offsite support during Inventory Conversion and Go-Live.

  • Supports the implementation of GMS Principles in the WMS process design.

  • Capture Lessons learned throughout all stages of the project.

  • Requires bi-annual rotation between 1st and 2nd shifts.

  • Monitor discrepancies between standard pack MGO/EPS/WMS/PPS.

  • Configuration of new items within WMS.

  • Quality locks to attend ESEP requirements into WMS.

  • ULOC updates within MGO.

  • EPS/PPS data and metrics analyst.

  • Monitor discrepancies of physical inventory vs systems.

  • Engineering break points.

  • Routing updates.

  • Database development.

  • Location/part/user setup, and maintenance.

  • WMS Rules.

  • Device control maintenance (Scanners, Pendants, Tags).

  • OAT and Electronic Tag System settings.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of plant materials floor experience.

  • High functional capability with material floor systems: MGO, RF-EPS, PPS.

  • High level of problem solving and analytical ability where problems are complex.

  • Experience with GMS Short-Lead-Time (SLT) implementation and execution.

  • Interpersonal skills to work in a cross functional environment to achieve results and drive change.

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.

  • Prior experience with a Warehouse Management System (ideally with Manhattan Associate WMOS) preferred.
