WHAT TO EXPECT:
JLR is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to be part of a newly created team in Trim & Final, Halewood.
You’ll work alongside Production/ Manufacturing Engineering/Plant Vehicle/ Plant Launch and Quality teams to provide engineering support for both current and future car lines. The role will play a key part during the install on new model facilities throughout the final assembly area. You’ll bring your technical expertise to identify root cause and take corrective and preventive actions.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Analysis of facility data to investigate and improve the performance and efficiency throughout the production system. This will be carried out by integrating closely with other manufacturing departments
- Manage the implementation of all facility modifications and ensure all related documentation is updated accurately
- Comply to Health and Safety procedures by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved, including identifying safety hazards / risks and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- To accurately investigate and present out engineering solutions to the senior management team
- Work on waste within maintenance operations and continually seek efficiencies in all areas
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Technical (mechanical / electrical / software) engineering skills gained in manufacturing
- Detailed knowledge of automation systems
- Experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving
- Knowledge of Health and Safety processes / procedures
- Great organisational skills for working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
