The Rotary Wing Cargo Systems Platform team within Collins Aerospace is seeking an engineering student to join us for Summer/Fall 2024 as a Systems Engineering Co-Op. Our team is responsible for the CH-47F helicopter flight decks for the US Army and international customers. The selected student will be brought on board with our scrum team to participate in aircraft platform systems engineering tasks that are associated with the design, development, integration, and test of platform and software applications. This position will be onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA.
This position may be eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- On-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
- Support requirements capture.
- Assist in decomposing customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system requirements.
- Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements.
- Support cross-functional team development which include customer stakeholders and domain engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with DOORS, JIRA, JAMA, and data capture tools or any other tools that achieve the same functions.
- Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Robot and Jenkins.
