We are seeking a Homologation Senior Engineer to join the Farmington Hills, MI, team.

 

A Day in the Life:   

  • Develop & implement homologation plans to meet on-time production launch.

  • Identifying regulatory requirements for specific markets and programs.

  • Establishing and communicating homologation schedules to secure on-time design releases and test reports.

  • Coordinating with third-party witness agencies to conduct tests.

  • Preparing regulatory application documents by gathering design specifications and reports.

  • Submitting application documents to regulatory bodies to secure compliance and certification.

  • Researching and interpreting regulatory requirements and explaining them to design and test engineers.

  • Reporting homologation status to program management teams and executives.

  • Supporting assembly plants and test facilities/labs for Conformity of Production (COP) audits.

Who We’re Looking for:     

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word) is a must. Working knowledge of databases with the ability to learn Nissan-specific customized databases.

  • Homologation experience preferred for any of the following markets: USA/Canada (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards & Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards - FMVSS/CMVSS), Taiwan, Australia, and other ECE/UNR countries.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience directly related to professional-level engineering experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Travel:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Up to 10% of domestic and international travel may be required.

Overtime:

  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete the job.
