Right now, we are experiencing rapid growth and are seeking bright and energised Systems Administrator/Architect to join our team at Mawson Lakes SA.

Our Systems Architects are world class and working on projects that truly contribute to the defence of our nation. We look for analysts for big picture thinking and attention to detail to ensure our IT function meets existing and future business goals.

This is an exciting new career for an experienced Systems Admin or Architect who can draw on previous experience to successfully meet existing and future business goals.

The Role

The Role provides extensible and detailed solution architectures and artefacts which incorporate clear vision, strategy, problem anticipation, and problem solving for the Information Technology function.

It also develops objectives and implements existing or advocates for new technological standards.

Specific responsibilities include.

  • Explains the purpose of and provides advice and guidance on the application and operation of elementary physical, procedural and technical security controls.
  • Performs security risk, vulnerability assessments, and business impact analysis for medium complexity information systems.
  • Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends options, implementing if required.
  • Collaborates with, and facilitates stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements.
  • Understand and comply with security requirements of operating complex ICT systems in accordance with the ADF Integrated Security Manual.
  • Understand physical security requirements for ICT systems in accordance with the ADF Protective Security Policy Framework.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Requires a University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with an information technology focus.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience (when a University Degree is held).
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the medium complexity information technology projects in medium to large enterprise organisations.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business.
  • Experience in developing end-to-end solution architectures or previously holding a technical lead position as an ICT SME.
  • Experience in a consulting role or within a consulting or advisory position.
