As a Paint Strategy Lead Engineer with our SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) function you will be working on 'halo' models, limited run collectors’ editions and high specification vehicles. Every car showcases the best of Jaguar/Land Rover with stunning performance, unsurpassed luxury and cutting edge technology. The SVO Paint team deliver all of the pallet colours that the Core plants cannot achieve, some of these pallets that our customers choose can be really challenging to deliver and you will bring your expertise to bring these dreams to reality!



You will operate as the Lead Paint Strategy engineer and this role will require you to understand the future vision of SVO paint and help shape that vision as well as leading in the identification of next generation paint technologies and investigating them for SVO. 

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

•    Lead/Support key business strategies across SVO

•    Work with various stakeholders from multiple functions across JLR to review and implement new technologies/ facility upgrades 

•    Coaching and developing team members to ensure they are able to do their job effectively delivering objectives and targets in line with scorecard metrics

•    Support the Design & Programme team in developing plans for new technologies and upfront programme coordination

•    Lead responses for manufacturing in business reviews and paint technology forums

•    Lead the planning for all commissioning for Model Year and Limited Edition colours

•    Leadership experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment

•    Ability to engage and motivate the team

•    Able to communicate effectively at all levels including presenting

•    Ability to lead problem solving teams and naturally strives for continuous improvement
