Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Systems Engineer - Systems Architect to join our team in Aurora. In this role as the Systems Architect & Design (SA&D) Engineer, you will be supporting a team of systems engineers in accomplishment of requirements traceability, capability definition, and system architecture modeling in an iterative development environment.
The SA&D Engineer will apply scientific and mathematical knowledge when performing engineering tasks. The candidate will assist in tracing system and product level requirements for analysis and verification as well as provide interpretation and analysis of the requirements for capability definition, implementation, and verification. The candidate will use systems thinking to contribute to modeling and analysis, with guidance as well as work independently to create system architecture model products.
The SA&D Engineer will attend technical inspection reviews and technical interchanges with team members and other program personnel in matters pertaining to the development of his/her products. Must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.
Work Location: This position is in Aurora, CO (Denver area) Onsite
Security Clearance Required: An active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years demonstrated engineering experience.
Strong understanding of architecture governance and design principles
Experience conducting system architecture in systems that interact with external entities.
Experience reviewing the outputs of systems modeling and analysis, ensuring the results can be used for the intended purpose.
Ability to decompose and communicate system architecture and governance concepts
Experience working projects, and/or programs consisting of Ground-related SE, SW development, and IV&V functions
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with management and individual contributors on the program team.
Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
Existing TS SCI clearance
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or related Technical field with minimum 5+ years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Cameo modeling experience with DoDAF artifacts
Experience with ground equipment command and control, electromagnetic warfare systems or Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)
Experience in systems engineering functions including: operations concept development, requirements management, use case development, technical risk management, ICD development
Experience in an Agile development environment
Experience with DevOps/SecDevOps
Domain experience preferred

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
