Sr. Strategic Planning & Development Training Project Lead - Supply Chain & Logistics

Job Description

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the specific location where employee is expected to report three times per week, at minimum.

The Role- Join our team as an experienced Global Supply Chain and Global Logistics & Containers process and training subject matter expert (SME). In this role, you will be responsible for updating and developing standardized business processes, supporting the implementation of business systems, and ensuring compliance with processes and systems.

Your expertise will directly impact our training programs and operational effectiveness. This position will focus on identifying, developing, and implementing new and improved process and training capabilities across all GPSC functional areas, with a strong emphasis on global supply chain and logistics.

The position is focused on the ability to teach, coach, and develop process/trainings while finding continuous improvement opportunities within GPSC.  Work requires considerable amount of initiative, independent judgment, command of an audience, and ability to be autonomous.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor process and best practices across the entire Global Supply Chain and Global Logistics & Containers landscape.

  • Lead business segments with standardized work, training creation & repository, and policy revision & recommendations.

  • Represent Global Logistics & Containers business segment as the audit lead supporting GM Audit Services (GMAS) with planning & preparation, scheduling kick-off introduction, investigating & testing, and outcome finding & leadership review meetings.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, systems owners, and business end users to enhance understanding of systems and processes.

  • Promote the adoption of new processes and capabilities through advocacy, demonstrations, training, and SME support.

  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated business solutions across Global Supply Chain and Global Logistics & Containers functional areas.

  • Conduct presentations to all levels of management.

  • Establish vision, strategy, and transformation plans in support of key initiatives.

  • Work with each business segment to capture required annual corporate training completion reporting.

  • Self-starter with the ability to influence others, working in teams and independently across various physical locations.

  • Ability to define and propose innovative solutions to business problems and projects with ambiguous requirements.

  • Good understanding of Global Supply Chain and Global Logistics & Containers functions & supporting IT Systems.

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple, visual terms suitable for a wide cross-section of audiences.

  • Proactive project management and communication skills to provide project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to stakeholders.

  • Think ahead beyond traditional work

  • Work cross functionally with key stakeholders to refine and enhance existing processes in addition to working collaboratively in the development of new initiatives.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Knowledgeable of GPSC systems and applications (MGO-A, MGO-C,GMAP, VTIMS, CPM/CSP, ALPS, others)

  • 5+ years of cross-functional Global Supply Chain and Global Logistics & Containers  

  • High level of capability to work independently

  • Creativity, innovation, and openness to new ideas

  • Desire to challenge status quo and bring improvements to existing processes

  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and to work with a high degree of autonomy

  • Be skilled in developing materials to convey both concepts and information to targeted audiences

  • Have the ability to listen to the voice of the customer, guide, teach, and coach others

  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and ability to collaborate cross-functionally, highly developed oral and written communication skills

  • High level of planning and organizational skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
