Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – Command and Control (C2) to assist the C2 Chief Engineer with potential to grow into the Chief role. The C2 Component Chief Engineer is responsible for the C2 component system engineering and architecture, providing technical direction and clarification of requirements and design to the program team including review and approval of capability and feature elaborations, acceptance events and closures. Additionally, the C2 Component Chief Engineer supports technical interchange meetings with program management and the customer and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development for the C2 component, prioritizes the C2 component Deficiency Report (DR) backlog, and provides C2 component impacts for change management. The program is an Enterprise level, satellite command and control system using the latest in adapted DevOps processes and cloud architecture consisting of approximately 420 employees. The program replaces legacy GEOINT stovepipe systems built for individual missions with a system to optimize efficiencies at the Enterprise level.
Work Location: This position is an onsite role at our Aurora, CO (Denver area) campus
Security Clearance Required: An active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience leading large engineering teams with proven track record demonstrating proficiency with requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
Ability to understand software design solutions
Ability to architect solutions and communicate to cross functional teams
Experience designing and implementing command and control services including Front End Processors (FEPs), and history services with the end user in mind
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation skills to communicate status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including Raytheon senior management, customers, and major subcontractors
Understanding of software development processes and enterprise test and their application to programs
Ability to quickly come up to speed on technical and management efforts currently underway
Experience in an Agile and DevOps development environment
Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all levels of the organization, including Government customer, IPT leadership, and support organizations
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
Current TS/SCI Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in change management, bidding and proposal generation
Experience in business and project management tools and procedures (e.g. IPDS, EVMS, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts and EAC)
Electrical Engineering or Computer Science background preferred
Required Education and Experience:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or related Technical field with minimum 10+ years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
