We are seeking a candidate with a passion for aerospace to join our team within the Compressions Systems Product Definition discipline. We are in Middletown, Connecticut and have an opening for a Senior Engineer in the Compressions Cases & Rotating Hardware Definition group. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career using CAD & PLM tools while working in a world class organization. This is a direct position starting immediately, located in Middletown, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead small teams to meet and maintain program deliverables.
- Initiate or support technical meetings and assist subject matter experts to create and maintain parametric 3D models and related configurations.
- Develop and mentor product definition detailers to improve skill levels
- Work with senior staff to prepare and monitor program budgets.
Basic Qualifications
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Engineering, Technology with 5+ years of experience in drafting/design OR
- Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; in lieu of BS degree - 12 years of experience or 10 w/ Associate degree
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Proficient with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Preferred Qualifications
- High proficiency with GD&T
- Experience with large assembly modeling a plus
- Strong NX modeling skills
- Strong communication and teaming skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
