JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Responsibilities: (หน้าที่ความรับผิดชอบ)
- Coordinate communications and notification of product change between customer and Adient plant. Direct and monitor product changes at supplier locations
- Assist in problem solving and recommending and execution of product changes where needed in order to correct non-conforming conditions or to provide continuous improvement with the product
- Evaluate cost effectiveness of proposed engineering changes and recommend course of action to Management of Adient. Providing cost savings in the design of the product, generally 5% target yearly
- Manage activities within budgets
- Has the authority to prevent non-conform product from reaching the customer
- Follow required emergency prevention and operational controls.
- Apply, execute and maintain function related BOD issues
- Comply with all environmental, employment and non-discrimination policies of Adient
- In addition to the above-mentioned tasks other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined
- Applies best practices in creating/reviewing layout drawings, detail drawings and assembly drawings. Uses customer’s environment drawings to ensure no packaging or interference problems exist in the drawings/data.
- Applies best practices in design and engineering. This can include but is not limited to PDFSS, drawing standards FEA, GD&T, root cause analysis, DVP, DFMEA hand calculations and use of carry-over and CPP technology.
- Executes design changes to provide the highest quality in the build and assembly of prototype parts with agreed to process. Ensures design data is released on-time to support highest quality assembly for testing and the customer.
- Support root cause analysis in the test failures. Raise to manager & safety lead on any potential safety concern. Conduct and get approval for sign-off
- Provides test specifications, reviews set up, and following up for product testing, domestic & oversea, in assigned area of design responsibility.
- Support generation of DFMEAs prior to release of prototype tooling, including support generation of manufacturing process flow, PFMEA & control plan
- Develops technical solutions that support business objective (cost, performance, timing, weight, and investment) for both new RFQ & current product
- Technically support suppliers in product development and drawing creation.
- Performs design studies to ensure highest quality assembly and performance.
- Executes best practices and early detection for BSR.
- Use the right tool/technology for providing technical solution to program/product issues.
- Can operate CAD design and implement Adient Layout checklist with using Team Center Tc12.
- Is aware of advancing technology and implements as appropriate.
- Initiates and executes VA/VE to meet customer/internal target
- Executes other assignments as directed
- Writes CRs, PRs Or Das to properly document customer or Adient initiated changes or issues (paperwork and/or PLM Tc12 system) follow Product Change Management System
- Provide input to support personal (in program, management, material & logistic, quality, and manufacturing department) to ensure accurate input of design change records/drawing and support program launch.
- Provides marked up drawing or CAD models through designers (front/back – office) to facilitate costing and quoting exercises.
- Maintains accurate bill of materials through product data management system and support Personnel.
- Timely resolution and execution of technical issues or changes.
- Execution of deliverables to support program timing and cost objectives for new & current product
- Support and execution of BOS procedures and process discipline.
- Effective balance of conflicting requirements and risks. Accurate and on-time BOMs, drawing, open issue list & engineering reports supports updates.

Qualifications (Education, Skills, and Experiences)
- Bachelor in Engineering / equivalent experiences
- 4-8 years in Engineering (Automotive frame/plastic/mechanism preferred)
- Organizational Skills
- Product engineering background
- Ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside/outside the company and to interact with team to reach goals and business objectives
- Ability to empower others to achieve results through motivation, recognition and performance feedback
- Ability to express information in manner appropriate different levels of people & to lead Negotiations
- Ability to recognize, respond to customer expectations with sense of urgency and even increase expectations
- Ability to take actions & to generate ideas, product, processes in promised timely manner; involvement in designer or other work requiring creative imagination
- Ability to take full responsibility for decisions & results even when all elements are not under individual direct control
- Ability to set goals in consistency with company with company objectives and to adapt plans to changing environment
- Ability to identify and eliminate health, safety, ergonomic and environmental hazards in workplace
- Effective communication skills in English and Thai
