Job Description

  • Responsible for purchase and/or sourcing of direct materials within an agreed and defined strategy in support of cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure OTD and DPPM compliance and manage performance activities.
  • Supports the supply chain management in the creation of an integrated project plan and takes accountability for the Supply Chain Work Transfer Package(s)
  • Proactively manages Supply Chain risk by implementing mitigation strategies and reports on the status thereof within the Risk Matrix to IPT’s.
  • Creates and ensures adherence to the supply chain execution plan, showing key Supply Chain activities as they fall in relation to the key program milestones and development of test articles to sustaining build status.
  • Actively seeks to influence design choices to result in reducing recurring and / or non-recurring costs including support to drawing changes impacting inventory and operations.
  • Coordinates the necessary activities within the Supply Chain team and wider business by mean of direct collaboration, to ensure successful fulfilment of the manufacturing plan.
  • Proactively controls cost adherence to the approved business case and provides updates as necessary for IPT reviews or change impact, including Non-Recurring & Recurring costs as associated with the Supply Chain work package.
  • Captures and ensures Supply Chain IPT actions are closed in a reasonable time to support Program needs.
  • Creates, maintains, and communicates the Supply Chain Management Pack in support of the program to SC CI-EVT, which will include:
  • Plan on a page, SC Maturity Status, Change & Impact, Cost Adherence, Risk & Mitigation, Key Issues, Key Mitigating Actions, etc.
  • Manages Program conflicts to ensure each Program gets the necessary support.
  • Acts as the Supply Chain point of Contact to both internal and external customer, which may require attendance at customer meetings, providing reports to the customer, etc.
  • Develop and implement business processes to improve supply chain systems and processes’ execution.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Uphold high ethical standard code of conduct in internal and external dealings.
  • Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.

Qualification

  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent.
  • Adequate level of experience and/or training in Supply Chain Management, Program Management, or related field
  • Ability to create consensus to ensure results from peers in cross-functional positions.

  • Excellent time management and active communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict across multiple roles and teams.
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes and philosophies, including MRP & Just in Time (JIT).

  • Proven ability to analyze data and successfully develop and execute project plans.
  • Experience developing and delivering communications and presentations to both customers, public groups, and internal organizations (i.e., top management, boards of directors)
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with leadership (minimum – up to 2 levels up)
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
