Software Engineer - Vehicle Software Test

A position for a software engineer who will develop a set of scripts creating a unique pipeline implemented in the Airflow environment. Daily tasks include access to data and their conversion from the MDF4 format to formats containing network packets (CAP) and the (MP4) video format, for the aim of further Software-In-the-Loop process and KPI calculation. Responsibilities also include the implementation of components/scripts in Python technologies for data processing and storage. The position requires working in a Linux environment hosted in Bash, enabling access to the High-Performance Computing Cluster.

Your Role

  • Automation of data processing using the Airflow framework.

  • Slurm workload manager/job scheduler using Bash.

  • Network technologies, CAP network packet decoding,

  • Creating internal tools for project implementation

  • Continuous Integration CI/CD

  • Problem analysis, problem solving

  • Data solution pipeline

  • Working in a Linux environment

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering, computer science or related field of study)

  • 2+ years of experience writing software using Python

  • Practical knowledge of Python programming

  • Familiarity with CI/CD, network technologies

  • Ability to speak, to read and to write in English

  • Versioning support in GIT

  • Fluent Bash

  • Ability to work in a team

Nice to have

  • Slurm

  • Airflow

  • Experience with virtualization, and containers (Docker/Singularity)

  • Knowledge of SQL - database implementation in the future

  • Basics of mathematical analysis, signal analysis - for the aim of KPI calculation
