Raytheon currently has an exciting opportunity for a talented AWS Elasticsearch Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and developing interfaces and services to expose the contents of our document repository through AWS managed Elasticsearch service. This pivotal role is instrumental in bridging the gap between stakeholder expectations and development realities, ensuring the seamless deployment and functionality of our machine learning and AI frameworks on the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy robust interfaces and services to facilitate seamless access to our large document repository via AWS managed Elasticsearch service.

Collaborate with the Lead H2O.ai Integration Specialist and the rest of the development team to ensure the successful integration and deployment of H2O.ai tools within our AWS environment.

Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications, adhering to best practices and team guidelines.

Engage in continuous performance monitoring and optimization activities to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the Elasticsearch service and related applications.

Liaise with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and code review processes to enhance team collaboration and personal skill set.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Proficient in AWS cloud technologies, with a solid understanding and experience in Elasticsearch.

Experience in developing APIs, and a strong grasp of search technologies and document-oriented databases.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or similar.

Familiarity with H2O.ai tools is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards achieving project goals.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or

systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a

minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
