Our Anaheim, CA Hoist & Winch site is seeking a Senior LabView Engineer Test & Validation to support our activities. This individual will perform technical electrical & electromechanical testing and validation for various products utilized in the aerospace industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Lead and/or Support development and execution of engineering test procedures per system specifications.
-
Review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments.

Capture, analyze, decompose, and translate requirements for production test solutions.
-
Design, test, integrate and document production test solutions of moderate to high complexity.
-
Environment, Health & Safety Champion role for the Test Engineering department, Conduct 5s, daily inspections, incident reviews, equipment and instrumentation maintenance, Lead Job Hazard Assessments and address issues.

Lead and/or Support development of electrical specifications for testing. The designs must be traceable to customer and system specifications, electrical detail specifications.

Debug, and support with Printed Circuit Board testing.
-
Develop verification and validation procedures to ensure system will perform as specified to meet customer and system requirements.

Support failure investigation in developing root cause and corrective action for manufacturing and customer top-level systems integration/ test failures.

Develop test methods and create test fixtures.

Develop test software in support of ATP Testing and Qualification Testing
-
Be involved in the automation of test procedures and support with hardware solutions for development testing.
-
Support to the manufacturing/operations group to help resolve issues and ensure on-time delivery of product.

While performing these activities the Test Equipment Engineer will interface with Customers, External Suppliers, Program Managers, Engineering Managers, Mechanical, Software, Electrical, and Systems Engineers, as well as the Manufacturing organization.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
-
Experience with NI hardware-based test stands and programming in high level computer language. Strong emphasis in LabVIEW is a must.

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

Experience with Engineering lab equipment per EH&S procedures.
-
Experience with Testing Procedures (ATP, MTP, etc) as well as experience in ATE design.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with software programming tools such as (Python, C, C++).

Experience working with motor and motor controller testing.
-
Experience with AC/DC systems.
-
Experience with serial communication protocols such as RS 232/422/485, SPI, CAN, ARINC.

Experience with FPGA Testing.
-
Experience developing and maintaining Test equipment, develop prototype solutions to meet failure investigation needs. Use simulation tools to verify circuit design.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment – where priorities change

Able to work both autonomously as well as part of a team.

Experience generating and presenting project status.

Good communication skills.

Hands-on Aerospace / Military hardware design, build, test and integration experience (or in regulated industry).

Able to identify problems, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Familiarity with requirements driven development.

Familiarity with project planning

Exposure to test systems for one or more of the following: electronic subsystems, Electromechanical subsystems, Motor subsystems, and hydraulic subsystems.

Able to function at a high level with multiple tasks and projects, and to effectively change direction based upon business needs.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 176,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
