Engineering Services is seeking a Sr. Technical Analyst for a temporary position providing technical support to the production staff. The primary responsibility will be to train production staff on the operation of the High Power Test Station onsite at the Chesapeake, VA Aegis depot. The selected person will provide hands on training on the test station and troubleshooting guidance on approximately 16 Part Numbers tested on the station.
Responsibilities to anticipate:
- Cross train production staff on high power station
- Provide trouble shooting guidance across 16 unique Part Numbers
- Documentation of station technical data package issues
- Primary goal of having a technician full trained to operate and trouble shoot the Grid Modulator.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience on the High Power Test Station at the Aegis Depot
- Hands on experience troubleshooting analog devices to the component level.
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience at a depot level repair facility
- Must be familiar with various test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Digital Multi-meter as well as general purpose, and program specific test stations.
- Hands on technical labs or experience in electronics (schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.)
- Experience working with, mentoring, and training other analog technicians.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 20+ years experience in lieu of degree
- Experience writing training requirements for depot level testing.
This is a temporary position of undetermined length.
The salary range for this role is $27.40 - $58.17; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills.
