We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Simulation Solutions & Services Engineering Department located in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, UK.

Overview:

  • To provide System Engineering support for UK MoD projects and research activities (e.g. SERAPIS initially), growing to EuMEA wide projects as capability and experience extends.

  • Interpret Requirements Specifications including Customer flowdown of system-level requirements, conformance to CONOPS and architectural descriptions of the capabilities.

  • Perform capability gap analysis and identify which capabilities need to be leveraged from across Collins Aerospace

  • Produce technical documentation such as white papers, Pre Qualification Questionnaires, proposals, Interface Control Documentation, Requirement Traceability and Verification documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support Business Development with Technical Exchange meetings or reviews with External Customers.

  • Provide Leadership, organisation and scheduling of System Engineering activities.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to produce deliverable products.

  • Leveraging Model Based System Engineering to define work packages to address technical requirements.

  • Define derived requirements down to a sub-system level

  • Actively support Engineering Risk & Opportunity activities.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Engineers

Basic Qualifications:

  • A track record in high profile, highly technical Programme pursuits.

  • Experience with Systems Engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques including Model Based System Engineering.

  • Management of Requirements via applications such as JAMA or DOORS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree within a System Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification or industry experience.
