Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Senior Sector Security Manager to join our Security department based in Mobile, Alabama.

In this role you will be responsible for defining, managing and implementing physical security processes, policies and protocols at our Airbus facilities in Mobile, Al. Your management and leadership experience will be instrumental in building the local team and fostering relationships for the protection of people, processes and physical assets.

You will be part of a team that works in the field of Security that manages the physical security at the A220 and A320 FALs, 3 Off-site Logistics centers, Downtown (RSA) Office Space as well as Leadership University. The team is comprised of Site Security Managers & Fire and Security Specialist.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Primary Responsibilities:

Organize, Develop, & Manage Site Security:  40%

  • Responsible for the management of physical security at the A220 and A320 FALs, 3 Off-site Logistics centers, Downtown (RSA) Office Space as well as Leadership University, which encompasses personnel (contractors, employees), access and video systems as well as all fire topics
  • Manage, empower, train, develop and support the FALs Site Security and Fire Managers and Specialists to embrace management of his/her team members and collaboration with FALs stakeholders
  • Identify and manage fire threats to Airbus
  • Manage, obtain local management support and ensure compliance on all Site Security Plans as well as Airbus security policies for the FAL sites, Offsite Logistic Buildings, Downtown Offices and Leadership University 
  • Ensure compliance with State, Federal, including Airport and Transportation Security Administration (Aviation and Transportation Safety Act - ATSA) legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a “threat to business” and “risk-aware” culture through the development and implementation of efficient security and regulatory practices.
  • Oversee and support local emergency and contingency planning exercises.  In case of major events/disaster, lead the emergency and contingency first response operations from a security perspective.
  • Ensure employee physical security awareness training such as Hostile Worker, Active Shooter, and Situational Awareness and Emergency Evacuation procedures are reviewed and kept up to date.

 Oversee Program Contracting Governance and Performance: 25%

  • Create and maintain oversight and control of the operational site security budgets (Opex and Capex) for all sites within the perimeter of responsibility
  • Establish all relevant contracted security operating reports, including security contractor KPIs and support delivery and maintenance of KPI’s 
  • Supports and ensuring the Physical Security strategy set by the Airbus Global Security Team is met

Manage Program Teams & Stakeholders: 15%

  • Communicate, manage expectations and alignment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure internal or external customer relationship, notably work effectively with Airbus Americas Head of Security Operations, Site Directors and other stakeholders such as HR, Facility Management, Finance, IT, and Legal to address physical security requirements and concerns
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, supervise, and recognize program team members
  • Develop security program to enhance and support sites within perimeter 

Execute, Monitor and Control: 15%     

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement, with oversight of other locations in North America.

Additional Responsibilities: 5%

Qualified Experience and Training:  

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree 

Experience:

  • 7+ years of equivalent work experience in security field: required
  • 7+ years’ experience in team management: required

Preferred

  • 5-+years of military, state or federal law enforcement or equivalent civilian experience
  • CPP, PST
  • Knowledge of aerospace and/or manufacturing facility

Travel Required: 

  • 10% Domestic and International

Citizenship: 

  • US Citizenship required
