The Communication Products Engineering Department in Mission Systems has an opening for a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Electrical Engineer P3. This RF Engineer will design and develop RF hardware used in high-performance communication products, such as sophisticated software-defined radios, amplifiers, receivers, exciters, and data links designed for various ground, airborne, and space applications.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Apply electrical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot RF hardware for communication products. Designs may use amplifiers, filters, mixers, circulators, synthesizers, etc.
- Perform circuit card design lifecycle activities, including requirements capture, schematic capture, design documentation, and signal integrity analysis. Create board stack-up and routing instructions. Coordinate and review printed wiring board layout, create test plans, perform root cause analysis, and integration.
- Work closely with a multidiscipline team to ensure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product's lifecycle, including supporting integration and testing of the final product.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and five years of prior relevant experience OR
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum three years OR
- In the absence of a degree, nine years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. DOD Secret Clearance. The candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with schematic capture of electrical circuit designs. Includes familiarity with a schematic capture tool (examples may include Mentor Graphics xDxDesigner and/or Xpedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, EAGLE, KiCAD, etc.) for the creation of circuit card designs.
- Familiarity with RF design tools such as MATLAB, AWR Microwave Office, pSpice, Keysight ADS, and Ansys HFSS.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including planning, tracking, and managing hardware development tasks in JIRA, is a plus.
