Job Summary:

Raytheon Technologies (RTX) has a professional Senior Network Engineer opportunity available for one of our proprietary programs. This position will perform network administration and engineering tasks pertaining to detail design development, creating engineering design artifacts, hands on administration, implementation, and troubleshooting. Tasks include designing\implementing switch, firewall, and router configurations. Individual should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices.

We are seeking Senior Network Engineer to work in our Richardson TX location.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • You will perform network administration and engineering tasks pertaining to detail design development, creating engineering design artifacts, hands on administration, implementation, and troubleshooting.

  • You will perform tasks include designing\implementing switch, firewall, and router configurations. Individual should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices.

  • You will have the ability to navigate the command line in a Linux based platform.

  • You will have a good understanding of security policy implementation and development of Access Control Lists (ACLs).

  • You will have a good understanding of Cisco Network Layers and have the ability to troubleshoot Layers 2 and 3.

  • You will have the ability to obtain a Security + Certification within 90 days.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically Requires a BA/BS In Science Engineering Technology or Math (STEM) in Computer Engineering, Computer science, or Information and 5 years of related work experience.

  • An active and transferable TS/SCI and CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date".  "U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with networking, network troubleshooting and administration / configuration.

  • Experience with of Linux, System Administration, and its deployment in virtual environments.

  • Experience with Network design and implementation concepts

  • Experience integrating with identity management, access management, and authorization solutions such as: PKI, LDAP, OAUTH, OpenID.

  • Experience with Cloud Application Platforms such as AWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience agile development practices, including Agile Scrum methodology.

  • Experience with Juniper Network systems.

  • Software development experience in one or more software languages including Ruby, Python, Groovy, Java, Javascript/NodeJS, C, C++.

  • CI/CD pipeline experience using GitLab or Jenkins.

  • Experience with container technology such as docker development and deployment.

  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

  • Experience conducting trade studies and analysis of competing technologies.

  • Current Networking Certification (CCNA, CCNP)

  • Current Security + Certification

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
