This Program is seeking a Low-Rate Production Lead Engineer to be responsible for Transition to Production (TTP) of a new seeker technology produced by Raytheon. They will be responsible for coordination across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) among disciplines in the key production processes. They must drive a common vision to the teams to allow coordinated execution of the seeker production, corresponding Technical Data Package, and production capacity upgrade. This will require that the Lead work across the Portfolio, supplier base and RTX business to leverage company technology and resources. This position is an onsite role and based in Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities to Include:

Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals to align with multiple contracts and facilitate production line conflict resolution with respect to schedule and capacity
-
Lead a team of multi-disciplined engineers in support of hardware production, test equipment prove-in and capacity upgrade

Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPT and other functions to meet and/or exceed cost, schedule, and technical requirements

Support program ERB/CCB to incorporate TDP updates and variances per SRs/QNs/CRs
-
Drive positive change within the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities, obsolescence resolution, and other continuous improvement efforts

Prepare, justify, and present EV reporting of the engineering and production ETC during monthly and quarterly status reporting

Drive completion and production release of upper-level assemblies post sub-system qualification, work instructions, and test equipment TDP

Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product deliverables
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
-
A Minimum and 10 years’ of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and 8 years’ of engineering experience.

Relevant work experience in a technical leadership role and experience across the development lifecycle to include, but not limited to:
-
Experience developing work plans, driving execution, and leading engineering teams, experience leading and conducting missile trade studies, missile system development and design, missile systems requirements development and management, and/or missile system integration and test,
-
Experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets.
-
Experience in strategic development, customer interface, and/or contract capture in the Defense Industry.

U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.

Experience interacting across multiple business units with business partners, customers, senior leadership.

Experience working on multiple subsystem development programs.

Experience in leading and executing the design and development of complex system architectures.

Experience across the product lifecycle, including concept development, architecture, design, integration, verification, and production.

Experience and ability to interact with and influence Department of Defense (DoD), and/or commercial and non-traditional customer sets.

Ability to develop effective internal and external customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business.

Experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management.

Experience with globally distributed engineering execution organizations (CONUS and OCONUS).

Experience with International FMS programs and International Supplier’s / Partner’s engineering execution.
