Systems include ball transfer units, power drive units, control systems, freighter common turntables, centerline restraints, bumpers, unicaster panels, door sill assemblies and rollout stops. These components work together to convey and secure cargo within an aircraft for fast and easy loading and unloading. Our control systems are designed with built-in test equipment capability that enables the operator to perform on-aircraft troubleshooting, which significantly reduces the time required for on-aircraft functional tests. Robust and reliable Power Drive Units (PDUs) reduce aircraft load/unload time allowing the operator more commercial revenue flight time.

Collins Aerospace is looking for an associate level, Quality Assurance Representative to support the Cargo handling systems in Jamestown, ND. This role is 1st shift with flexibility for a 5/8, 4/10, or 9/80 work schedule. This role may be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the analysis and processing of documentation for non-conforming military and commercial aerospace products.
  • Work directly with Quality Engineering and QC Inspection to identify repeat rejection situations and work with Operations, Design, & Manufacturing Engineering to determine root cause failure analysis and help implement solutions.
  • Work across a wide range of programs, parts, materials, and finishes/coatings.
  • Capable of analyzing complex dimensional nonconformances with strong understanding or Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • Interact with internal customers, external customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to present to customers and levels of leadership internally & externally.
  • Help maintain QMS compliance with AS9100, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.  
  • Assist with Standard Work processes to continuously improve process and work instructions.
  • Develop deep understanding of customer and Collins Aerospace Material Review Board processes and procedures required to establish the foundation for ownership and maintenance of MRB standard work.

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous machining and/or assembly experience
  • ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent auditor experience
  • SAP
