Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney Engineering Support to Operations Engineering (ESTO) is seeking a proactive, goal oriented, detail-focused Product Definition engineer to work for the ESTO organization with responsibilities for compressor blades and vanes and related hardware in an onsite role based in Columbus. Georgia. In this role you'll be responsible for product definition tasks related to the commercial and military engine compressor blades and vanes manufactured in Columbus and work directly with the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organizations along with quality and manufacturing engineering teams based at Columbus Forge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the ESTO PD team, ESTO Design engineers, ESTO Project engineers, and Columbus manufacturing to process Class 2 engineering changes and must conform changes.
- Provide detail and assembly Level Product Definition in support for QN and eSRI driven documentation.
- The manipulation/creation of 3D part models in NX,
- Creation of legacy engine drawing revision utilizing NX, Teamcenter, and drafting processes
- Drawing interpretation support
- Support technical meetings and assist subject matter experts to create and maintain complex parametric 3D models and related configurations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of Engineering experience, or 3+ years with an advanced degree, in lieu of degree 9 years of technical experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Office, NX and Teamcenter
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with forging and development drawings highly desirable
- Practical knowledge of project management
- Ability to work independently without oversight with ability to develop effective working relationships.
- Possess excellent teaming, professional maturity, and cultural awareness.
- Knowledge of P&W projects, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work is helpful.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
