Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Process Technician - S-Nickel Plating who will be reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, Weekday Nights Shift as the Process Technician - S-Nickel Plating, you will be responsible for maintaining demand for Production.
Work Site Location: Oakville, Ontario - Onsite
Shift Hours – Weekday Nights, Monday - Thursday, (8:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
This position is not open for relocation allowance
Primary Responsibilities:

S-Nickel plating and masking of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques

Tank/chemistry maintenance and associated tooling
-
Act as a cross functional team member and support S-Nickel plate applications as requested

Participate in ACE initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)

Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
-
Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Wearing all PPE and air breathing equipment as required.

Perform other duties as required based on skills and qualifications
Basic Qualifications
-
Grade 12 diploma; In the absence of a HS diploma 3- 5 years of relevant plating/ processing experience is required

Experience in measuring equipment and tools.

Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and work with various hand tools
-
Eligible to work in Canada, successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Process chemistry background; prior plating experience would be considered an asset.
-
Industrial painting experience would also be considered an asset in lieu of previous plating experience
-
Experience in using calipers and elcometers
-
Strong understanding of WHMIS

Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee
