Reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, as the Manufacturing Methods Engineer, you will be responsible for providing component part manufacturing and processing support consistent with cell, facility, and division goals & objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
-
Provide technical skill in Surface Finishing Process, Chrome area, to plan, design, set up, modify, optimize and monitor manufacturing processes

Maintain continuous process improvement with safe work practices to reduce cost, improve quality and increase throughput for new and existing methods

Maintain product and company reputation by complying with EH&S and government regulations, manufacturing information and records
-
Provide shop floor support and assist with Root Cause Corrective Action(s) (RCCA Process)

Prepare, maintain and revise Manufacturing Process Sheet (MPS''s), Assembly Process Sheet (APS''s), in CATIA V5 and Work Order Card (W.O.C.) and rework schemes in SAP

Support and/or participate in Continues Improvements (C.I.) Events and ACE activities

Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
-
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
-
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
-
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Experience in manufacturing – Surface Finishing

Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
-
Strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
-
Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, general business, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
-
Previous experience with C.I. tools with the ability to analyze and improve processes to reduce cost and improve quality would be an asset.

Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills with proven problem solving ability
-
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CAD software, particularly CATIA V5, system application SAP
-
Six Sigma and/or ACE Associate training would also be considered an asset

Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CGD
