WHAT TO EXPECT 

 

As a Software Delivery Lead Engineer, you’ll deliver software for the Powertrain Control Module which supports our world-class high-performance internal combustion engines and electrified vehicles. 

 

You’ll be operating in an agile project environment  and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders you’ll be taking propulsion software projects from concept through to final sign-off. taking software projects from the scoping out of requirements and ensuring requirements are delivered on time, to quality, scope and budget through to overseeing software testing and successful delivery into the business.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:  

 

  • Scoping out programme requirements and preparing Request for Quotation’s (RFQ’s) for submission to external suppliers 

  • Reviewing supplier quotes with internal stakeholders and working closely with Programme and Finance teams to secure programme funding 

  • Ensuring SW deliveries happen in line with agreed timeframe and the SW is tested and calibrated by the team, certification is obtained

  • Reviewing software change requirements and progressing them for delivery

  • Holding regular programme review meetings with suppliers  and ensuring programme spend is tracked and manged within budget 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

 

  • Knowledge and application of software creation, validation, and delivery processes and relevant toolsets. 

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Commercially aware and able to analyse financial information. 

  • Experience of working in a controls and calibration environment, ideally Powertrain and/or vehicle systems.

  • Prior knowledge of Powertrain calibration and controls.
