Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Field Engineer to join a mature program in the Sterling VA location. The qualified Field Engineer will support a very dynamic program in a world-class operations facility and must have a broad range of experience supporting fast paced, quick reaction program requirements.  This is a full time OCONUS position.

Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with POLY

Candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Deploy OCONUS to site with the opportunity for leave every 4 – 6 months throughout the year.

Work full-time at OCONUS site as part of the Raytheon Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team.

Coordinate with the larger site O&M team for a wide-range of building issues

Responsible for mechanical and electrical systems throughout OCONUS facility, including operations and maintenance, modifications, and status/metrics reporting.

Maintain as-built designs, ensuring all site changes are recorded and documented properly.

Analyze data from site monitoring systems to support expansion and improve efficiencies.

Required Skills

8+ years relevant hands-on experience with two or more of the following:

Install and maintain diverse electrical or heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems

Install wires, conduits and pipes to complete facility infrastructure

Perform general and preventative maintenance on electrical or HVAC systems

Ensure that all installations are done in accordance with set standards

Reading construction documents, wire identification and tagging, bending long radius conduit

Pre-startup maintenance on motors; troubleshooting of control and lighting systems

Experience working in a secure environment (SCIF) and understanding the regulations for maintaining accreditation.

Single-handedly lift and carry 45-pound systems and be capable of prolonged use of site equipment (e.g., hand tools, power tools, disintegrators, and degaussers).

Familiarity with safety rules and first aid procedures.

Good communication skills and an ability to work closely with other professionals.

Minimum commitment of 2 year at site.

Must be US Citizen with current TS/SCI with polygraph.

Desired Skills

Familiar with building management systems; operating, monitoring and programming (modifying the program). 

Crossed trained in multiple trades (Electrical, plumbing, structural, etc)

Able to work in Dulles VA when not deployed (pre-deployment training)

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
