Job Description

Responsabilities

-Work with Manufacturing Body Engineers and Launch Teams to develop and coordinate the implementation of automated material handling and material delivery strategies (such as ASRS’s & AMR’s).

-Develop and apply Lean Material Strategies (LMS)

-Coordinate container agreements among different program stakeholders.

-Develop lessons learned and continuous improvement items and incorporate into standards procedures and future lean material delivery strategies.

-Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and integrate GM-Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles into Future Product Programs and Body Shop Locations.

-Develop and drive the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).

-Develop cost studies for different material delivery strategies and alternative process.

-Design, develop and implement automated material delivery systems.

-Collaborate with key stakeholders (Stamping, Vehicle system, GPS & Plant Launch Teams) and other peer groups (Safety & controls) to align on automated material delivery systems, strategies and standards.

Working knowledge of IE tools for operation analysis, including the use of Vehicle -Assembly Standard Time Data (STDS), Man-Machine charts, Global Material -Optimization System (GMOS), Throughput Improvement Process (TIP), AutoCAD, --Factory Flow & Microsoft Office

Key Requeriments:

-Engineering: Industrial Engineer or similar experience working with people or in a manufacturing plant (from 1 to 3 years)

- Available to change shift (4x3)

- On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis

- English Basic
