WHAT TO EXPECT  

 

In this role, you will provide engineering and technical assistance to design and build the production strategy to allow the successful introduction of vehicles into our production facilities into our vehicle portfolio, while also assuring manufacturing feasibility, Design for Assembly (DFA), and Bill of Process compliance. This will entail developing procedures, delivering tools, jigs, and fixtures, ensuring quality, data analysis, and reporting on key issues, assisting cross-functional teams in resolving those issues on projects, and tracking resolution through to completion.  

You will work cross functionally to ensure our processes meet key targets for across functions to ensure we are following the BOP (Bill of Process) and delivering procedures that satisfy Health and Safety, our basic minute value (BMV) and quality standards. 

 

It is also important for us to share best practices across the platforms and between manufacturing plants to ensure we employ the best processes available wherever possible 

 

 Key accountabilities and responsibilities: 

  • Use the application of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles and will attend programme meetings at all levels and present where applicable  

  • Responsible for developing the CAPEX and OPEX impact on Vehicle Programmes 

  • Responsible for planning and developing all written Processes/ Facilities for manufacturing as well as the planning and development of all tooling, jigs, 

  • Manage technical issues as well as virtual build events and escalate and raise issues where appropriate   

 

WHAT YOU"LL NEED  

  • Previous experience in delivering new products into a manufacturing facility 

  • Experience with Manufacturing/Engineering processes, tools, and techniques. 

  • Strong project management skills 

  • Good knowledge of MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project). 

  • Flexible approach to job responsibilities and working hours 

  • Ability to use CAD  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
