We are currently looking for Manager, Consumer Credit to join our team in Mississauga, ON (Hybrid). 

This role will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing all day-to-day activities in in the Retail Credit Department to maximize vehicle sales and dealer service while minimizing NCF risk.

Job functions Include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, organize, direct and manage the department to ensure the dealers receive the highest level of service. Train staff to be fully knowledgeable on products, services, policies and procedures enabling them to provide prompt and professional service when resolving dealer inquiries
  • Ensure department adjudicates consumer and commercial applications within NCF guidelines and established KPI’s.
  • Establish appropriate workflow (including systems), policies and procedures to provide efficient operations. Manage all day-to-day activities including to review, analyze and interpret information on the credit portfolio to identify and resolve potential problems.
  • Monitor profit plan/budget and related performance results; react as required to control expenses, including the development of credit policies that reflect current business goals and regional economic climates.
  • Interacts with other departments in Nissan Canada Finance to build strategies together and resolve issues.
  • Interacts with Nissan Canada, Sales Operations, Market Representation, and Finance regarding Retail Consumer Finance Plans and Programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Degree or College Diploma (Study in Business or Finance preferred) or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Auto Financing with exposure to Consumer and Commercial Credit preferred & sound knowledge of the various consumer and commercial statues and regulations across Canada governing the automotive finance industry is mandatory
  • A high degree of interpersonal skills. Motivation, persuasion, and presentation skills are required when obtaining buy-in for changes and making proposals
  • Complexity and problem solving skills. A considerable degree of analysis is required to identify what are risks for the company and what are possible solutions to mitigate such risks
  • People management skills. This position manages 17 positions & contractors, some from remote locations
