Lead Engineer (Product Owner):

About the team:

Methods & Tools is a transverse team working with different core engineering verticals in Airbus. The USP of this team is working in a multi-functional environment providing digital solutions to engineering problems.

The USP of the team is people with Core Engineering domain knowledge complemented by software development skills. The team plays an enabler role in various digitization initiatives across Airbus utilizing the latest technologies and the domain knowledge they have. 

Some examples of the digital solutions for various Core Engineering departments such as Data driven designs of wiring, automated routing electrical harnesses, Data Analytics based products aimed at reducing physical tests of material specimens. It also involves developing web-based solutions to encapsulate and automate different workflows such as flight test planning etc. In addition to these , developing tools for Electrical Wiring Harness and Hydraulic Circuit design process improvements. Some of the tools developed; are used in the areas of Aircraft Safety analysis and Engineering Business Data monitoring etc.

We believe in and follow Agile, Scrum and SAFe methodologies in developing state of the art digital products for the areas mentioned above.

Main Activities: 

  •   Engineering graduate with 8+ years of experience with minimum 3+ years of Product  owner/team leader experience.

  • Oversees the technical aspects of a software team by making architectural and design decisions

  • Contributes in preparing the Release Plan / Program Increment (PI) Plan

  • Defines the iteration objectives

  • Asses value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, to ensure work focuses on those with a

  • maximum value that is aligned with product strategy.

  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.

  • Coordinates and synchronizes with other Product Owners/Product Manager

        ● Defines the  Definition of Done & Definition of Ready

● Ensure the quality of user stories by validating the user stories

Skills Required: 

● Experience in software development using Python/ C++/ C#

  • Experience in Front End technologies (Angular / JQuery / ExtJS / Node JS)

  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.

● Good understanding of the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC).

● Certified Product Owner - Scaled Agile Framework

● Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe / Scrum / Kanban)

● Product/Project Management

● Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

● Creative thinker

● Strategic thinking

● Good interpersonal ,communication and mentoring skills

● Very good analytical and Practical Problem Solving skills

● Work in a multi discipline and international environment

● Pragmatic and collaborative approach way of working
