Job Summary
This onsite entry level position will function in support of the Classified and Sensitive Material Management (CSMM) office as part of the Industrial Security team. The Industrial Security Specialist will be responsible for the proper receipt, dispatch, and accounting of all Department of Defense classified material for the El Segundo, CA facility in support of multiple business units within Raytheon. This position will wrap, package, receive, dispatch and work with the CSMM team to ensure proper handling and dissemination for all classified material along with other duties as assigned. Successful candidate will have the ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment and to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Verify receipt and transmittal of classified material and work with originators to ensure proper marking, accounting, safeguarding and destruction
- Assist with personnel with varying levels of experience handling classified material and create and update records in Raytheon’s Information Management System (Access Commander)
- Conduct data integrity reviews and audits to maintain accuracy of the information management system and conduct inventories and reconciliation actions to ensure accountability record accuracy
- Perform record keeping to prepare accountable classified information for destruction and perform classified material destruction in coordination with the team to provide two-person integrity as required.
- Educate personnel on required markings for classified material (documents and media) and support customer visits, semiannual self-inspections, and reviews
- Maintain organizational records/files pertaining to the receipt, safeguarding, transmission, and destruction of accountable classified information
- Conduct commercial courier briefing for employees hand-carrying classified material and respond to customer requests/inquiries related to classified material management when requested
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Experience with understanding and applying Government security regulations and directives
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, briefing and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Government clearance databases to include NISS, and Access Commander
- Knowledge and previous experience working with Classified Markings
- Knowledge of Federal Rule 32 CFR
Required Education (including Major):
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or 4 years of Security related experience.

The salary range for this role is 57,000 USD - 107,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
