Position Overview:
We are currently looking for Software Engineers to join the Flight Display Applications team. This position is an exciting opportunity to work on the Collins Flight Deck software. The team has an array of technical tasks available meant to develop engineers for the future. The team will work with our interns on what skills they would like to develop, from Model Based software development with Simulink, verification using python and harness environments using C/C++, simulation and host based tools that provide end users the ability to run flight deck software on a PC for engineers to use to develop software and verification procedures at their desktop, and lastly the team supports virtual avionics that run in Virtual Reality.

Primary Responsibilities:

Designing, developing and testing embedded software in avionics products

Collaborating on software requirements and design

Implementing and testing software

Helping to solve complex software and systems problems
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
Preferred Qualifications:
-
C/C++, C#, Java, Python, Simulink, and/or Perl development

Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
-
Excellent communications skills to communicate technical issues and status in both written and oral form

Excel working in a team environment, establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers

Consistently produce superior results, keeping projects on schedule and contributing to a positive work environment

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
