Field Service Representative (Auckland)
In this role as a customer-based Field Service Representative, your responsibilities will be primarily focused on Customer Support, Entry into Service, Program, Logistical, and Fleet Management tasks. You will also be tasked with providing assigned customers with technical and operational program support for the GTF, V2500, and legacy engine families. The position requires frequent interface with airline technical personnel, engine maintenance facilities, and the Customer Focus Team.
This role is on-site in Auckland, New Zealand
Your Role:
- The Field Service Representative is the first point of contact for our customer airlines to address all technical and business concerns and questions.
- Providing the assigned customers with technical and operational program support for various engine groups.
- Supporting the customers with Entry into Service for multiple engine models.
- Coordinating and managing on-wing operational issues, customer concerns, and provide around the clock comprehensive technical support and customer assistance.
- Providing the customers with information and updates.
- Interacting with and providing real-time information to Pratt and Whitney colleagues, and management
- Working with a full spectrum of an airline company’s staff and interfacing frequently with all levels, ranging from Executives to Line Technicians.
Your Profile:
- This is a locally recruited role, the successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Aviation Maintenance, or other related fields and 8+ years of relevant experience in field service, technical support, flight test, engineering and/or airline power plant management, OR
- Master’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in a similar customer facing role and interacting with all levels of customers and management is highly valued.
- Experience in working with airline customers is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Pratt & Whitney engine products and services as well as familiarity with engine manuals
- Engine troubleshooting experience
- Able to be accessible and available to support customers outside of typical working hours.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent English language skills.
- Ability to work as a team player as well as independently.
- Strong organization skills and leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Good computer skills, including MS Office
