WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Certification & Compliance Group reside within Digital Product Platform, and specifically within the Hardware Domain. Group responsibility spans Export Controls, Compliance (Radio Type Approvals, Licences etc.), EMC (vehicle and component), GRADE (electronic design audit) and EM Simulation.

 

As an EMC Standards and Specifications Lead Engineer you will be developing our future requirements which will contribute towards us delivering electrically reliable and robust products. You will be collaborating with teams throughout JLR to make sure that these specifications are implemented correctly.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

 

  • Review and develop our internal EMC Specifications for both components and vehicles.
  • Liaise with the wider EMC team to ensure that our specifications are accurately capturing and preventing real world EMC issues.
  • EMC test development.
  • External EMC lab accreditation reviews.
  • Internal EMC facility support.

 

The successful candidate will be interacting with the EMC Lead Eng - Test Methods and Future Tec to ensure the JLR EMC roadmap is aligned to legislative changes.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

Essential:

  • Exposure to a range of EMC related specifications and standards.
  • Experience of HV EMC requirements.
  • A collaborative approach to working.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driving licence.
