WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Certification & Compliance Group reside within Digital Product Platform, and specifically within the Hardware Domain. Group responsibility spans Export Controls, Compliance (Radio Type Approvals, Licences etc.), EMC (vehicle and component), GRADE (electronic design audit) and EM Simulation.

 

As an EMC Regulatory Lead Engineer, you will manage aspects of EMC which are related to legislative standards and certification. You will be digesting the relevant standards, you will be ensuring that we are implementing them correctly, and you will be reviewing our test data to guarantee that our products are meeting the required EMC performance levels.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

 

  • Managing our current EMC regulatory & certification requirements.
  • Monitoring for future changes in the regulatory landscape.
  • Recording and collating legislative EMC test data.
  • External committee and working group workflow actions.
  • External lab communications, accreditation monitoring and development, including some occasional international travel.
  • Ensuring that legislation surrounding future technologies such as V2X and ADAS is being captured on our EMC standards roadmap.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

Essential:

  • Exposure to a range of EMC related regulatory standards.
  • The ability to distil long, complex documents into concise, accurate and useable information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Data processing experience using software such as MATLAB or Tableau desirable.
