The following position is to join our Corporate:
The RTX Corporate Global Security Services’ (GSS) Operations & Investigations (O&I) workstream is responsible for the management of Corporate global physical security, international security, event security & technical security, counterintelligence, investigations, and insider threat programs designed to protect RTX employees, facilities, and processes. The Director of Security Operations will be an on-site role, based in Farmington, CT and will lead Security Operations activities. This role provides strategic and operational management of assigned personnel, programs, and sites.
Primary Responsibilities:

Leading the development and implementation of the RTX enterprise GSS Learning & Development Center of Excellence (COE),

Directing the Corporate / business unit long-term strategy and process for physical security / risk assessments,

Utilizing direct public/private experience and industry-leading knowledge to expand and enhance various physical security focused programs,

Partner with non-product supply chain leaders and enterprise physical security teams to manage contracted enterprise security vendors, expand contracted security providers including but not limited to guard forces, fire/emergency services, and security integration,

Represent RTX and maintain tactical contacts with applicable federal, state, and local law enforcement / fire / emergency response agencies,

Support international security related matters as back-up as needed if the Global Programs Manager is unavailable,

Coordinate with Operations & Investigations peers to pro-actively analyze data across programs to identify trends and focus areas of concern,

Manage a 25+ staff of contracted security based in Arlington, VA and Farmington, CT, and oversee a $2.77M annual operating budget,

Manage projects as assigned by the RTX senior leadership team,

Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Direct experience managing private sector security functions including an international (outside of U.S.) footprint, physical security programs, staff supervision, and budget management.

Practical experience managing security contractors, including negotiating terms & conditions, establishing / tracking key performance indicators,

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Process improvement/change management orientation.

Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA issued Armed Security Officer (ASO) certification.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense issued Top Secret security clearance.
-
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required."

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience and Education
Requires advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience in law enforcement/corporate security in a senior leadership role, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
