Job Summary:
The Quality and Process Engineering (Q&PE) calibration team is responsible for: Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) calibration for Pratt and Whitney production gages.
We have a rare opportunity for a hardworking Dimensional Metrology Calibration Associate. If you are looking for a hands on, technically significant role in a growing organization, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate calibrations are critical to Pratt Whitney operations as they strive to meet their delivery commitments.
- Dimensional layout inspection of gages, parts and fixtures to ensure the business is running on a daily basis.
- The Q&PE Calibration team is a can-do organization that is sustaining and developing inspection and calibration methods in support of the Module centers.
- We perform M&TE calibrations across numerous disciplines, while being actively involved in defining and implementing the calibration lab of the future.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education/experience in mathematics/statistics is a plus. Knowledge of industry standards ISO17025. General Competence pertaining to Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
- ANSI Z540 Requirements for the Calibration of Measuring and Test Equipment. Willingness to cross train in other metrology areas to support periodic requirements.
- Part Drawing Interpretations. Understanding of Metrology. Plan and perform calibrations within the specified turn time. Troubleshoot items not meeting requirements.
- Work within SAP to update information on M&TE. Implement and support CORE and the Raytheon CORE culture. Create standard work and procedures.
- Knowledge of Dimensional Calibration. Knowledge of First Article Inspection. Ability to Layout production parts to verify dimensional accuracy.
- CMM/ Vision system knowledge is a plus.
