Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Cyber Operations Engineer to join a mature program in the Sterling VA location. The qualified Cyber Operations Engineer will support a very dynamic program in a world-class operations facility and must have a broad range of experience supporting mission critical network and computer systems. The ideal candidate should have a desire to problem solve and troubleshoot critical systems at all layers of the OSI model in a system-essential role.
Required Skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience
- Ability to demonstrate real-world experience in Linux, system dashboards and analysis.
- Current TS/SCI with polygraph
- Experience supporting mission critical network and computer systems
- Experience troubleshooting critical systems
Desired Skills
•Knowledgeable in CentOS/Linux operating systems
•Familiarity with Kibana/Elastic dashboard analysis

Preferred Education (including Major):
•Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.
•Relevant industry IT certifications in any of the aforementioned fields of study.
Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or
systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years
prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
