Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems.

Job Summary:
The Cyber sub-CPT Lead role is responsible for the execution of Cybersecurity Engineering scope for all AN/TPY-2, XBR, and RTC Programs. The lead is responsible for the management, coordination, and execution of the technical, cost and schedule across several geographic locations in an Agile environment. The successful candidate will be expected to build the individual team’s ability and be able to work with both internal and external customers. They will also be expected to support proposal efforts in support of new business, and have knowledge of the financial status and planning for the team. Additionally, the sub-CPT lead will be accountable for developing a staffing plan and making hiring decisions to appropriately staff the team in partnership with appropriate departments.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Partner with the Scaled Product Owner to ensure tasks are on schedule and within budget
  • Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans
  • Staff the team in accordance with skill needs and budgets and grow discipline-specific skillsets via Communities of Practice or other forums
  • Work across a multi-disciplined organization on team execution
  • Plan and guide Systems Security Engineering implementations in customer systems
  • Support the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Lead the development of bids and proposals in alignment with the IPT
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) in partnership with respective Control Account Managers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience.  In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in the fields of computer technology, cybersecurity, Anti Tamper, or other systems security engineering fields
  • Technical leadership experience
  • Experience with System Requirements definition and analysis, System Test and Analysis, Systems Engineering Studies, and/or NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Prior experience with the AN/TPY-2 System and/or Missile Defense programs
  • Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of radar design and analysis, and systems engineering development
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
  • Estimate At Complete and Basis Of Estimate development experience required.
  • Experience supporting hiring activities, including interviews and staffing planning
  • Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within the Agile Scrum development practices
  • Proven experience with current DoD programs cyber scope with specific experience in large, complex systems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience generating Security (anti-Tamper and/or Program Protection and/or Cyber Security) requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies
  • Project management experience, preferably using an Agile framework
  • Hands on experience configuring and implementing cybersecurity tools
  • Knowledge of information security toolsets including anti-virus, Vulnerability Assessment, HIDS/ NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and centralized auditing tools
  • Knowledge of Host Based Security System (HBSS) / Endpoint Security Services (ESS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) / Tenable Security Center, and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
  • Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO systems
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and Experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation
