The Control and Diagnostic Systems (CDS) organization is seeking a qualified candidate to perform control system reliability and safety engineering. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration with control system, engine system and aircraft design engineers.
  • Safety and reliability analysis and reporting, including functional hazard assessments (FHA, fault tree analysis (FTA), system safety assessments, common mode analysis, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and failure mode and effect criticality analysis (FMECA).
  • Development of reliability & safety mitigation requirements (e.g., redundancy, fault monitors, maintenance procedures) to ensure control system certification.
  • Application of standards DO178C, ARP4754A, ARP 4761 and MIL-STD-882E.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical/Computer Engineering. Degrees in other scientific fields will be considered on an exceptional basis, if relevant experience is demonstrated.
  • US Person Status required due to government contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience in control system design/implementation and familiarity with D0178C, ARP4754A and ARP4761 Standards
