ATR - Ingénieur Performances Avions (H/F)
MISSION
Au sein du département Flight Technologies de la direction Engineering d’ATR, vous participerez principalement à des activités de faisabilité, de développement, de certification et de support dans le domaine des performances avions et secondairement dans le domaine des masses et centrages. Vous serez rattaché au responsable du service Aircraft Performance & Weight.
ACTIVITES
Les activités principales de performances avions liées au poste sont :
- Établir les performances avions dans les cadres réglementaires et opérationnels, pendant les phases de faisabilité, de développement, de certification et de service opérationnel de manière autonome et en utilisant des moyens de calcul mis à disposition.
- Elaborer les données de performances avions publiées dans la documentation opérationnelle (AFM, FCOM, QRH) pour les différentes phases du vol (décollage, atterrissage, montée, croisière, descente, …)
- Contribution à la certification de modification avion impactant les performances avions
- Mise en forme des études techniques de performances avions pour diffusion interne ou externe dans le cadre du DOA.
- Supervision des activités sous-traitées en estimant le volume et en contrôlant l'avancement et en validant les livrables
- Mettre en œuvre les logiciels de calcul des performances afin de permettre la réalisation d’études techniques à la demande d'utilisateurs internes (engineering, support opérationnel, marketing) et externes (opérateurs, autorités)
- Assurer un support sur les performances avions vers les autres directions d’ATR (marketing, front line, support opérations aériennes)
Les autres activités de masse et centrage liées au poste sont :
- Préparation et réalisation des pesées contractuelles et création des rapports de pesées / feuille de chargement et de centrage
- Préparation et suivi des plans de chargement pour les vols d’essai des avions de production et des prototypes ATR
Des interventions ponctuelles seront nécessaires sur le site de production pendant la journée ainsi que le soir et le week-end, en astreinte, pour les pesées contractuelles. D’autres interventions ponctuelles en astreinte mais à distance, le soir et le week-end, pour les analyses de la performance avion au premier vol seront nécessaires. Ces astreintes interviendront principalement au dernier trimestre ou en période de fortes activités de livraison.
Des échanges fréquents sont à prévoir avec les différents services de l’engineering (certification, avant-projet, essais en vol, documentation) ainsi qu’avec les services en relation avec le client (marketing, supports techniques et opérationnels, livraison).
PROFIL
Ingénieur de formation aéronautique ayant au moins 7 années d’expérience dans le domaine des performances avions d’un constructeur d’avions.
Compétences techniques :
- Connaissance des performances avions sur les aspects théoriques (mécanique du vol, règlements de certification et opérationnel) et documentaires (AFM, FCOM, QRH)
- Définition du rapport de pesée et d’un plan de chargement
- Définition des masses limites et de l’enveloppe certifiée des limites de centrage
- Pratique des logiciels de performances avions règlementaires et opérationnelles (ATR : programmes PFA, Trace AFM, FOS ; Airbus : programmes PFA, Octopus, PEP)
Langues :
- Français, Anglais courant
Compétences informatiques :
- Environnement de travail Airbus Giseh / Unix
- Pack Microsoft® office, notamment Excel® et programmation VBA® pour la réalisation des macros
Soft skills :

ATR - Aircraft Performance Engineer (M/F)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Within Flight Technologies department of ATR engineering directorate, you will take part in feasibility, development, certification, and support activities in the field of aircraft performances and secondarily in the field of weight and balance. You will report to the head of Aircraft Performance & Weight.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main activities related to aircraft performances are:
- Compute the aircraft performances in both regulatory and operational frameworks, during the feasibility, development, certification and operational service phases
- Compute the aircraft performances data published in the operational documentation (AFM, FCOM, QRH) for all flight phases (takeoff, landing, climb, cruise, descent).
- Contribute to certification of aircraft modifications impacting aircraft performances
- Product aircraft performance technical studies for internal and external distribution in the DOA framework
- Supervision of subcontracting activities by volumetric estimation and by progress and deliverables controlling
- Use aircraft performance software to provide technical studies in order to answer internal (engineering, support, marketing) and external (airlines, authorities) requests
- Provide aircraft performance support to other ATR directorates (marketing, front line, flight operations support)
The other activities related to weight and balance are:
- Preparation and execution of contractual weighing and creation of weight reports / load and trim sheets
- Preparation and follow-up of loading plans for test flights of production aircraft and ATR prototypes
Punctual interventions on the ATR production site will be necessary during the day as well as in the evening and on weekends, on call-duty, for contractual weighing. Other remote punctual interventions will be necessary during the evening and on weekends, on call-duty, for first flight performance analysis. Those interventions will occur mainly in the last quarter or during periods of strong delivery activities.
Exchanges with the various engineering departments (certification, preliminary design, flight test, documentation) as well as with the offices in relation with the customer (marketing, technical and operational supports, delivery) are frequent.
PROFILE
Aeronautical trained engineer with at least 7 years of experience in the field of aircraft performances in an aircraft manufacturer.
Technical skills:
- Knowledge of aircraft performances on theoretical side (flight mechanics, regulatory and operational rules) and documentation side (AFM, FCOM, QRH)
- Definition of weight report and loading plan
- Definition of weight limitations and certified center of gravity envelope
- Practice of regulatory and operational performance software (ATR: PFA programs, Trace AFM, FOS; Airbus: PFA programs, Octopus, PEP).
Languages:
- French, Fluent English
IT skills:
- Airbus digital environnement Giseh / Unix
- Microsoft® Office Package, especially Excel® and VBA programming® for macro realization
Soft skills:
