As a Vehicle Prep/Paint Technician with Steer Automotive Group, you will:
- Utilise your expertise to perform precise paint spraying techniques on vehicles undergoing repair.
- Prepare vehicles for painting, ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned, sanded, and masked.
- Mix and match paint colours accurately to match existing finishes or specifications.
- Operate and maintain spray painting equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect completed paint jobs to ensure they meet our high-quality standards.
- Carry out high volume repairs carried out to the BSI PAS 10125 standards.
About You
We are looking for a experienced Vehicle Painter / Prepper with:
- Proven experience as a Paint Technician, ideally from an automotive repair background
- Proficiency in preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and executing precise spraying techniques
- Knowledge of automotive paint products, colour matching, and industry best practices
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding results
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- ATA or NVQ qualified would be highly beneficial, and we are happy to support in renewing these qualifications.
