As a Vehicle Prep/Paint Technician with Steer Automotive Group, you will:

  • Utilise your expertise to perform precise paint spraying techniques on vehicles undergoing repair.
  • Prepare vehicles for painting, ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned, sanded, and masked.
  • Mix and match paint colours accurately to match existing finishes or specifications.
  • Operate and maintain spray painting equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect completed paint jobs to ensure they meet our high-quality standards.
  • Carry out high volume repairs carried out to the BSI PAS 10125 standards.

About You

We are looking for a experienced Vehicle Painter / Prepper with:

  • Proven experience as a Paint Technician, ideally from an automotive repair background
  • Proficiency in preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and executing precise spraying techniques
  • Knowledge of automotive paint products, colour matching, and industry best practices
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding results
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
  • ATA or NVQ qualified would be highly beneficial, and we are happy to support in renewing these qualifications.
