As a Vehicle Damage Assessor you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of commercial vehicles to determine the extent of damage.
  • Utilise industry-standard assessment techniques to accurately evaluate the scope of repairs needed.
  • Document findings and prepare detailed reports for insurance purposes and internal records.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, insurance representatives, and repair technicians to ensure a smooth repair process.
  • Collaborate with the repair team to develop repair plans and provide guidance as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, repair techniques, and vehicle specifications to maintain proficiency in assessment procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or a similar role in the automotive industry, having a focus on commercial vehicles would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle repair techniques, including bodywork, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to accurately assess vehicle damage.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer software for documenting assessments and generating reports.
  • Certification or training in vehicle assessment techniques is preferred but not required.
