Validation Engineer

The Test Engineer performs various diagnostic tests and analyses to create a process that would best test a particular product in manufacturing and related disciplines to assure that the product meets applicable specification.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates on the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods through testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing.
  • Key participant in test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
  • Organizes the schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
  • Ensure that programs are compliant to standards for good laboratory practices good validation practices and maintain quality.
  • May be responsible for setting the parameters and testing customer samples
  • Use automation tools and methods for testing the released firmware and ensuring the quality.
  • Verify and validate Firmware.
  • Develop Test plan and test cases.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A university degree (i.e., bachelor’s degree) and 5+ years relevant work experience as below-
    • Familiarity with safety-critical software design techniques and methodologies
    • Experience with unit test platforms for embedded targets such as Ceedling
    • Experience developing in LabVIEW/ MATLAB/ HIL.
    • Knowledge of compilers/assemblers and linkers (8/16 or 32 bit)
    • Working knowledge of electrical schematics and component datasheets
    • Working knowledge of lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Desirable Skills:

  • Windows development with MS Visual Studio, and C# / Python
  • Basic Embedded C Coding
  • Experience with GitHub/GitLab
