Training Solutions Delivery Lead

Summary of Role:
Raytheon UK are a leading International Defence & Security prime and are looking for a Training Solution Delivery Lead to manage the development of a leading training programme solution, within their Raytheon UK Training Transformation Services (TTS) Business.
The Training Solution Delivery Lead will be accountable for all Engineering resources, the design, development and delivery of the training solutions to the Customer. You will report to the Training Transformation Delivery Lead. In this role you will be a key contributor and member of both the TTS Engineering leadership and Programme Team, working collaboratively with the Customer, consortium partners, and members of the Fisher Consortia across the Raytheon’s Training Transformation Business.
You will lead the technical responses directly to the Customer, working with the TTS Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Programme Engineering Manager (PEM). This will require experience in the development and deployment of complex training solutions using modern, leading-edge solutions, methods and tools. The role can be based at any of Raytheon’s main sites or at home. Regardless of main base location the successful candidate will need to travel across the UK to Raytheon and Customer sites.
Main Duties:
- Reporting to the TTS Delivery Lead and CTO within the Engineering function and the Delta Programme Director, your duties shall include:
- Overall responsibility for the Training Solution deliverables, acting as the training solution focal point for Raytheon UK, with the Customer.
- Lead development of simulator procurement requirements and ensure appropriate reporting on design, testing and delivery.
- Lead on complex simulation integration based on customer requirements.
- Ensure alignment of training devices with training content in collaboration with training courseware and media lead
- Work closely with the PEM. The PEM will have line management of the Engineers, but under the technical direction from the CTO.
- Work with all stakeholders (Raytheon UK, Customer, Fisher Consortia, Suppliers and OEM’s) to create and maintain a culture of collaboration and co-operation in the delivery of high-quality, value for money deliverables.
- Manage training programme design solutions in accordance with the Company’s corporate governance policies, processes, and procedures.
- Effectively communicate proposals, status, risks, issues, and opportunities through agreed governance processes with the relevant stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience in designing and delivering training solutions at scale.
- Expertise in Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) compliant training solutions.
- Experience in line management of training specialists (e.g. architects, analysts, designers)
- Effective people and influencing skills
- Highly effective written communication skills
- Knowledge of UK Defence individual and collective training, including recent experience
- working with military training customers and the MOD.
- Has held leadership roles within a structured programme and project management process environments.
Desirable:
- Experience of working on joint Industry/Government projects.
- Has an established network within defence training and education.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant industry experience.
